What ages do you work with?
We provide speech and language therapy for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. Services are personalized to each child’s age, developmental needs, and communication goals.
Do you offer in-home or virtual sessions?
Yes! We offer in-home speech therapy in Commerce Township, MI and surrounding areas, as well as virtual speech therapy throughout Michigan. Flexible scheduling makes it easier for busy families to access care.
Do you accept insurance?
Bud to Blossom Speech Therapy is a private pay speech therapy provider. We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide a superbill for speech therapy reimbursement if your plan allows for out-of-network services.
Do I need a referral to get started?
No referral is needed to begin services. However, if you're planning to submit a superbill for insurance reimbursement for speech therapy, some providers may require a referral or prior authorization. Check with your insurance company to confirm requirements.
What is play-based therapy?
Play-based speech therapy for children uses your child’s natural interests and routines to build communication skills in a fun, engaging way. It’s especially effective for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students.
What is a neurodiversity-affirming approach?
A neurodiversity-affirming speech therapy approach respects and supports each child’s individual communication style. We focus on building strengths and honoring differences, especially for autistic and neurodivergent children.
Can you help with my child’s IEP?
Yes! We provide IEP consulting and advocacy services in Commerce Township and virtually across Michigan. We help families review IEPs, develop goals, prepare for meetings, and advocate for appropriate, individualized services, supports, and accommodations.
What if I’m not sure my child needs therapy?
We offer free 15-minute consultations for speech therapy and IEP questions. We’ll listen to your concerns and help you decide if further support or an evaluation is the right next step.
